The Governing Board approved on 10 December the second phase of works to adapt and improve the Centre of Social and Cultural Isla Plana.
The project is part of the Neighborhood Plan and Provincial 2010/2011, and is the continuation of the first phase already completed.
As explained Councilman Decentralization, Nicholas Angel Bernal, after approval by the Governing Board will start the recruitment process, and it is expected that in the early months of 2011 started the construction of this second phase and can be completed by summer.
The location is submitted earlier this year a complete renovation since it is located in the former barracks of the Guardia Civil.
So far the work has been focused on the structural restoration of the building, which included the installation of a new roof.
The budget for this second phase is about 140,000 euros.
The new clubhouse will have a large multipurpose room, offices, shops and toilet room and a space intended for a small canteen run by the partners themselves.
Its facilities are devoted entirely to social activities of the residents, after the doctor's office and the elderly, who occupied part of this space, have their own facilities elsewhere.
In its dependencies are also installed SKIP offices, taken together with the interim senior center.
