On Friday 10 December, the Board of Governors approved the allocation of transport aid grants university grants the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the ministries of Education, Training and Employment and Public Works and Planning .
There have been a total of 114 applications and 69 grants have been awarded a lump sum of 14,000 euros.
The beneficiaries have received amounts of between 75 and 300 euros, depending on their economic needs.
Of the total applications submitted, 11 were excluded due to lack of documentation or failure to meet the identified scales, and 34 have been dismissed for exceeding the minimum established in the rules.
The scholarships, convened since last October, are aimed at students living in the Municipality of Cartagena, using transportation for their movements to any University Center for the Region of Murcia during the academic year 2010-2011, and whose family income does not exceed the 4,700 per year.
From the tender and before final approval, setting a deadline of one month for resources and two months in the case of an appeal under administrative law.
