This morning we signed the agreement to transfer by the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM), through its foundation Rose, a flat in the town of the city to carry out the project I want to live my own life.
The event, which took place in the Cultural Hall of the CAM, was attended by Councillor Social Care, Antonio Calderon, p resident of ASID, Santiago Lopez, program director of the Rose Foundation, Valentin Belloch, and Area Director of CAM, Adolfo García Celdran.
La Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo provide $ 10,000 for the hiring of teachers and running the floor, with the support of the Social Service Department of the City of Cartagena.
THE PROJECT
The project I want to live my own life is designed by the Association of attention to people with Down Syndrome (ASID) in Cartagena and has the support of City Hall.
Its main objective is to enable learning household tasks for people with Down Syndrome eligible for independent living through a supervised housing.
A total of 53 adults from the Center and its services Occupational Training and Employment of Cartagena ASID as the beneficiary of this floor Mari Carmen Martinez, will live his own life with the support of professionals and independent living model of the family and integrated into the community.
