| The House has approved this morning an institutional statement that commits to improve and promote policies aimed at children and adolescents in our town |

Cartagena City Council this morning approved an institutional declaration of all civic groups in favor of the rights of children.

The statement has been produced to coincide with the twenty-first anniversary of the approval by the United Nations, the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

In the text adopted by the plenary recognizes the role to be played by municipalities to enforce the right of lois children to express their views, to be heard and to have due regard to their opinions.

The statement also emphasizes the benefits to be gained from children's participation in a more sustainable, humane and inclusive.

Lastly, he expressed the need for further work to study in depth the situation of children and train children as citizens, meeting and recognizing their rights and responsibilities while the City is committed to improving and promoting policies aimed at children and adolescents in our county, providing them with the means and resources.

In the plenary, chaired by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, the Corporation has also adopted various business purposes, dictated by the committees of Finance and Planning information.

Among them was the final approval of the amendment number 5 Atamaria Partial Plan, the tax ordinance amendment regulating the fee for the provision of urban services by 2011, to amend the regulations of the Children's Traffic Park and nomination of a place in Pozo Estrecho, in honor of the late first president of the neighborhood, Zamora Pedro Conesa.

Already in the section on initiatives by local groups , the government team has held various non-urgent motions before both the PSOE, as Citizens Movement and council members not engaged, Juan Luis Martinez and María del Carmen Martínez, being matters which in the opinion of the council with responsibility for government were already in place or were not under municipal jurisdiction.
