The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, has raw this afternoon in the conflict between both chambers of commerce of Murcia and Cartagena as CROEM COEC and for business representation on the Board of Directors of the Port Authority.
Asked by the media at the opening of the historic medieval market, Barreiro wanted to give their opinion, explaining that he did so with respect for the independence and autonomy that must have these institutions.
For the mayor of Cartagena, Cartagena entrepreneurs traditionally have been part of the management bodies of the port and have always defended very well the interests of both Cartagena and the entire region.
Barreiro said he did not really understand why this controversy, since entrepreneurs COEC Cartagena and the Chamber of Commerce are equally trained in Murcia and Lorca to defend regional interests, and there is no reason not to remain so in the Board of Directors of the Port.
So the mayor has completed their statements calling for wisdom and generosity in this matter and expressed his confidence that the end common sense prevails.
