On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 23, finished the basic course voluntary, organized by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Directorate of Immigration and Volunteers of the autonomous community of Murcia and University Cartagena.
The course was held for two days, in the afternoon in the auditorium of the Faculty of Sciences of the Company, and was attended by 150 people from NGOs, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena Isidoriana University Foundation, various associations our municipality and individuals interested in volunteer work.
The last day, attended by representatives of thirty associations to inform their actions and activities, offering the same integration of new volunteers.
These are entities that work primarily with groups of young people, immigrants, disabled, elderly and drugs, among others.
The course was developed in two modules: the first, Introduction to Volunteering and Volunteer and Methodology for voluntary action, and the second, called Volunteering in the care of vulnerable groups, which was to set up information tables from different fields volunteering among pupils.
A third module will be held later and practices consist of a minimum of ten hours, and will be scheduled with each student, their incorporation into one or more voluntary organizations, in order to know the actions in situ Volunteer to be performed at the various entities.
