The works of Ramón y Cajal Street, which began in mid-October, making good progress.
The redevelopment of this street is motivated by improving their water and sewerage networks.
These projects, which were approved by the Governing Board last September, prevent flooding in these areas and will involve a marked improvement for the replacement of surface services, such as sidewalks, bike lanes, roundabouts and lighting.
The works, which are being implemented by the concessionaire Aquagest service, affecting in particular the stretch between the roundabout Jorge Juan and Calle Dr. Barraquer.
This area is replacing the network of sewage and two collectors are being installed that will double its section from 400 mm to 800 today.
Moreover, they are renovating all rush home and sinks of the slice of action.
General collector shall be installed water transport 300 mm in diameter and 400 feet long and two water manifolds in the homes of 150 mm and 400 meters each.
Remember that as a result of these works will be necessary to remove existing sidewalks and trees, which are then replenished in the following way:
- Sidewalks 5 feet wide, including a 1.5-meter bicycle lane on each side and a protection zone and removal of trees.
- Replacement of the asphalt layer for vehicles.
- Luminaries of 9 feet each 7 feet away.
