Municipal facilities have passed the exam so outstanding that have been submitted by the Higher Sports Council (CSD) last week to host the Championships in 2011 Spain Programme School Age Sports.

After evaluation Cartagena confirmed to host the Volleyball National Child and cadet categories, from 25 April to 1 May, and the National Aquatics child categories and adapted for athletes with physical disabilities or brain and partially sighted from 7 to 11 July.

After his visit the department head of the CSD School Sports, Tomas Valles said that Cartagena has plenty of sports facilities and in very good condition and also has enough tourist accommodation to house the athletes and their families.

Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez López, expressed his satisfaction with this positive assessment, a knock comes to the work to be performed by the City Council to promote sport, especially among the young.
