The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, today demanded the maximum involvement of Murcia society and its institutions in supporting victims of violence.

In his speech, the minister stressed that Murcia society and its institutions have the moral and legal duty to publicly acknowledge the direct and indirect victims of violence, ensuring their protection and assistance. "
In this regard, he recalled that the Presidential and Public Administration is working on the regulatory development of the recently passed Law on Assistance to Victims of Terrorism in the Region of Murcia "that goes beyond mere monetary compensation in its aims and actions , and prevailing in that particular concern for people. "
Reverte congratulated the organizers of the conference on the social and professional interests have been acquired in the seven editions, and the Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, which was awarded the 'International Award of Victimology and Victim Advocacy 2010 ', collected by its dean, John Thomas Frutos, at the conclusion of the event.
