UPyD was the first political party of national scope to use the primary election without endorsement to select their candidates, returning to the public policy control.

In the morning took place at the headquarters of UPyD in Cartagena, located in the C / Salitre 26 primary election for the choice of candidate for mayor of Cartagena.

With a turnout of 71.3% of the membership and 100% of the votes counted, Fulgencio Egea has received unanimous support from members of Cartagena.
