On Sunday October 31 ended the week for Children, organized by La Manga Club Murcia Committee and UNICEF, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena.
Through this initiative, which is part of the Schools for Africa project, four million children are already benefiting from education, hygiene and drinking water, medical checks in schools, school supplies and teachers.
During the week there were three Mini Masters. The first was the golf
held on Sunday October 24 and has since winners.
It took the veteran BBC commentator, Alex Hay, as master of ceremonies.
On Saturday 30 October, kids tennis fans had the opportunity to participate in the Mini Tennis Master and thanks to this activity, practice your favorite sport while helping other children.
The first prize in the category went to William Chesterman Benjamins and the second to Luke Swan.
In the juvenile category the winner was Javier Jaouen and second place went to Oliver Monteiro.
During that Saturday was held on Mini Masters Cup, in which after a fierce shootout championship, Michael Danino emerged as the champion of the tournament.
This activity was a great opportunity to promote inclusive sport, and which also included two football teams for children with disabilities from Primi-Sport Club Deportivo de Cartagena.
The closure of this week organized by and for children, took place last Saturday with an awards party.
The finishing touch put two known representatives of FC Cartagena, Txiki, team defense, and Juanmi, goalkeeping coach of Cartagena, who were in charge of handing out diplomas to all participants of the Tournament for UNICEF.
The balance of the Week for Children is very positive, not only on the amount raised, but also by the high degree of participation of children in the region.
The children had the opportunity to learn more about African culture and the difficulties children and they have to live in this area of the planet, and most importantly, how they are able to help, while having fun.
