Local Police School in the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the ESPAC (School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena), is providing the courses for Traffic Accident Investigation Level III and Level IV, led to the specialization and training in this area.
The courses are based on the application of the principles of Newtonian physics to the investigation of accidents.
Concepts such as acceleration, power shift, force of friction, rolling resistance or the center of mass, are part of everyday life of these teachings.
Traditionally, this level of expertise has only been taught at technical universities through Masters or Diploma courses, as in the case of Catalonia, Valencia and Madrid, or by private centers specializing in this type of research located mainly in Zaragoza Ávila.
Also at the School of Traffic Civil Guard located in Merida advanced courses are held RAT.
Few in Spain Local Schools Police have approached the investigation of accidents at these levels, given the complexity of the teachings.
In this case, the courses are designed and delivered by local police school of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the Espace, with the collaboration of several experts, such as the Local Police Inspector Antonio García Ruiz, who was Local police chief of Cartagena for the past 25 years, and the Local Police Sergeant Juan José Díaz Noguera, Criminologist and responsible for years of service packed with the local police in Cartagena.
Also highlight the involvement of experts from the Guardia Civil in the interpretation of tachographs and forensic specialists, responsible for education in biomechanics of accidents.
