Why do not you freeze the legs to resist penguins or how much weight an ant are some of the issues resolved children from different parts of the Region from tomorrow participate in activities organized by the UPCT occasion of the Week Science.

The Vice President for Research has scheduled several activities for children in the library Ramón Alonso Luzzy to show schoolchildren that science is engaging and fun.

In addition, the number stands UPCT installed in the gardens of the embankment of Murcia, in which will offer more than a score of activities related to engineering, chemistry, environment, radio or environmental heritage.

Cartagena Activities

The first activity is a puppet show "Word of crocodile", which will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at 18:00 pm in the Municipal Library, as described by the Transfer Office Results (TTO) organized service activities.

At 20:00, Professor José Ignacio Manteca, presented the video 'Itineraries by County Geological Cartagena "in the Student House, located at number 26 in Street Angel.

On Thursday, at 18:00 pm, children can attend a workshop on biodiversity in a simulation that will enjoy the sounds of nocturnal animals, rain, wind.

They may also find videos about dangerous animals and plants that live in extreme habitats.

In this workshop, kids can participate in a simulation abilities of some animals like snakes, the dragon of the desert or the sea horse, among others.

Thursday also will be a craft in which each child can an animal model with clay that is embedded in a decorative pen.

The Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, José Antonio Franco, stated that the purpose of these activities, involving over 70 researchers and scholars and staff of the TTO is to promote interest in technology issues among children in the Region students who will enter college in the coming years.

UPCT have several stands in Murcia during the Science Week to demonstrations of the technologies developed at our facilities and disseminate scientific and technological activity.

UPCT also displayed in the Science Week solar car, car and bike fórmulastudent MotoStudent participant.

All they have passed the prototype stage and trial to be competing in international circuits in the case of FórmulaStudent.
