The Director General of Tourism, Marina García, today chaired the Board of Cartagena Port of Cultures, which addressed some of the actions that will be necessary for the archaeological park of the turnstile is to visit in Easter, 2011 .
For these actions, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism allocated about 700,000 euros.
Garcia, who was accompanied by the manager of the Tourist Consortium Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, Agustina Martínez, and representatives of the City of Cartagena, said "the most important thing has been decided is that the site is understood, for what is planned a journey in which the two zones individually visit the site, first baths and the arena and other Facilities building. "
These actions will be a series of additional works such as flooring, walls, wiring, the works of restoration, archeology and works of museum design.
It also includes the monumental lighting of the site, as well as interior and exterior signage, installation of telephones, furniture, cleaning and other necessary actions.
Other actions have been treated like the new version of the website Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, in order to update the contents of it and make it more attractive and responsive, and the creation of new brochures that will be performed for schools and transport.
On the occasion of creating more accessible to disabled people is being carried out to install a stair lift for access to the Keep in the Castle of la Concepción.

Turn has made an analysis of the results in terms of visitors and turnover of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas January to September 2010.
In that period have 263,734 people visited the centers, 5,000 more than in 2009, and has produced an income of 994,059 euros, which represents more than 13,650 euros in 2009.
Most visited sites stand out as the Roman theater, with 98,722 visitors, the Interpretive Centre Castillo de la Concepción, with 40,065, and the catamaran, to 50,387.
Regarding the center recorded more sales revenue, the Roman Theatre was the most prominent, with 40 percent.
The Director General of Tourism concluded that "all these data come to reflect that Cartagena Puerto de Culturas is working very well, even recovering from the year 2009."
