Service Fire Fighting and Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena in the coming weeks will acquire a car can scale with conducting rescue and fire suppression in 90 percent of municipal buildings.
Its main advantage, according to sources have said the fire station, is that the scale will reach a maximum height of 39 meters, which may intervene in the nine-story buildings, which is the height limit under the current General Plan Town Planning.
So far the service had a car scale of about 20 years of antiquity, whereby the maximum was seven floors, and will be gradually replaced by the new.
His recruitment is currently in tendering phase, until 8 November.
The budget is around 775,000 euros and correspond to the special contributions made over several years by insurance companies through UNESPA, which by law to finance infrastructure improvements in fire stations.
