Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez, presented this afternoon the bike festival X Cartagena and has done so accompanied by the coordinator of Via Libre, Jose Angel Vivanco and deputy director of Decathlon Cartagena, Javier Zuniga.
The event, which was organized by the group Via Libre in collaboration with the Decathlon and the city of Cartagena, among others, will visit various streets of Cartagena and adjacent areas on 17 October.
The X-Bike Festival Cartagena, Vivacncos explained, aims to promote the use of urban transport that is clean and very cheap, and will also serve to spend a family day and enjoy the city and otherwise.
Participants will tour the main streets of Old City, waiting to exceed the number last year, attended by 3,500 people.
The route will begin at 9:45 pm, with the output from the four quarters: Quarries, El Bohio, Los Dolores, Los Barreros and San Félix Barrio Peral.
The official launch will occur one hour later, 10.45 hours in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and continue along the Paseo Alfonso XII, Island Plaza, Paseo de Alfonso XII, Calle Gisbert, Charity Street, Street Serreta, Calle à ngel Bruna, Paseo Alfonso XIII, Sparta Street, Union City Round, à ngel back Bruna, Paseo Alfonso XIII, Calle Juan Fernandez, Calle Jorge Juan, Alameda de San Antón, Plaza of Spain, Calle Menéndez Pelayo, Calle Real, Paseo Alfonso XII to City Hall.
At 13.15 hours, will be back on routes to the districts of origin.

The registration fee is 1 euro, so that participants are entitled to a dorsal, stock supplies and to participate in a drawing for bicycles.
The first 2,500 entries will be giving away a shirt to commemorate the event route.
