MOTOUPCT team of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), has been runner-up at MotoStudent motorcycling championship held last weekend at the premises of the new circuit of Alcaniz Aragon.
In the championship were 250 students from 24 universities in Spanish and Italian.
The prototype 125 cc bike 2T designed and built by students at the UPCT, went through various tests: presentation of industrial, technical and dynamic checks, and a timed race in 40 minutes, which was reaching the top five also a high top speed circuit.
The team has been ahead of teams from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Universidad Carlos III, Polytechnic of Turin, University of the Basque Country and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, among others.
The best scoring team in the set of all tests was the computer-Unizo Alcañiz the University of Zaragoza with 470 points, followed by MotoUPCT of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, with 451, and MotostudentZGZ-Unizo (also from the University of Zaragoza), with 443 points.
