The Cartagena racetrack will host this Saturday, October 2, the Solar Race Murcia.
It is an international competition vehicles created by students of colleges and universities and powered by alternative energy to fossil fuels.
The ultimate goal of this race, organized by the Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia, is to demonstrate the development of research and renewable energy technologies (solar, biofuels and hydrogen) applied to the transport sector.

Two dozen vehicles, including experimental and city, have enrolled in the competition Solar Race Murcia.

Saturday's test will consist of a run of 180 minutes, divided into five batches of 36 minutes.

The winning vehicles will be those that consume the least amount of energy (in W â‹… h) per kilometer.
Indeed, we have established two categories: experimental vehicles and city vehicles.
