The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, the president of the group The Huertecica, Diego Cruzado, yesterday signed a cooperation agreement in order to support programs of social content and coordinated actions in the care of drug addicts. The agreement is a contribution from the Municipal Institute of Social Services 151,781 euros for the year 2010.
This agreement is included in the proceedings of the Municipal Plan of Action on Drug Addiction (LDCs) with which the City Council, through IMSS solidarity seeks to respond to those who live in a situation of dependency on drugs, enhancing performance and programs to facilitate their social integration.
In addition, the objectives of prevention is to offer information, advice and personalized guidance to families concerned about drug use in children under age.
To this end, two projects are subsidized by the Huertecica included under the PMAD:
Prevention Program addictive behaviors aimed at children and families, offering help at the beginning of the problem by modifying risk factors and promoting the skills of parents in the emergence and development of protective factors associated with drug use.
Maintenance support of healthcare resources, recovery and reintegration of drug addicts, such as the Meeting and Reception Center, located in the center of the city, and the Day Center, located in the town of Santa Ana
