On Tuesday, September 21, will be presented to the media exposure Lorca, Luces de Sefarad, which can be visited during the coming months at the Palace Hall of Cartagena and the Museo del Teatro Romano, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Region in collaboration with the municipalities of Cartagena and Lorca and the founding of the Roman Theatre and CajaMurcia.
The press screening will take place at 12.30 hours at the Palace Hall hours with the assistance of the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, and his namesake of Lorca, Francisco Jódar Alonso.
The exhibition brings together ten historical documents from the Archives of Lorca, Murcia, National General Archive of Simancas, as well as 90 archaeological pieces, mostly from archaeological excavations in the Jewish Quarter and the Synagogue of the Castillo de Lorca, there are also materials from other archaeological museums in the Region (Cartagena, Gilad and Puerto de Mazarrón).
The pieces are organized into five sections: the Jews in Spain, the border town of Lorca, Lorca castellated Jewry, Hanukkah, the Feast of Lights and the synagogue of Lorca.
The visit to the exhibition is completed with a video you can see the Jewish quarter and the synagogue was rebuilt in 3D with an interactive showing the most significant findings with an explanation of the synagogue Lorca.
