The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, today presented a total of 175,243 euros in direct aid granted by the City Council to eleven institutions and associations that develop their work with people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.
Our contribution is small compared to the great work done by these groups and, therefore, will continue all efforts necessary to maintain aid in the budget without cuts, Barreiro has said during the ceremony of aid, which has taken place in the Palace Hall and has been accompanied by the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon.
The groups that have received these subsidies have been the Coordinating Center Caritas Cartagena, Ayume, Graben, Red Cross, Prolam, ananda, Vincentian, Food Bank of the Parkinson's Association, Foundation tips and porbeagle.
