Cartagena City Council held over this semester a lot of courses, such as collaborative action at the current situation of economic crisis and unemployment.
This training offer has been presented this morning by the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, the Councillor for Culture and Women, Rosario Montero, and the Councillor for Youth and Employment, Mary Ruth Collado.
Again, the councils have joined forces to work together, coordinating the various areas, to respond to the needs of the population in employment.
It offered a total of 120 training actions in which 65 are related to employment and aimed primarily at unemployed.
The remaining 55 are various courses on cultural education in leisure time, of which only 27 have a registration fee and others will be on scholarship.
In total, will provide about 11,000 teaching hours, of which about 8,000 hectares are targeted to employment, and about 3,000 hours to the socio-cultural courses.
Councillor reported to develop training related to new technologies, construction, hospitality, trade, crafts, social skills, among others, which involved between 20 and 25 students per course.

As a novelty, Antonio Calderon stressed that this year the training program has two more workshops to be conducted in two centers and occupational therapy as apex ASTUS.Y recalled that 75 persons will be responsible for providing these 120 training courses to be attended by approximately 2,500 people.
For its part, Collado reported that they have made 6,000 copies of the program will be available in the SKIP, in schools and also can be downloaded at the website of the City of Cartagena, www.cartagena.es
All training activities have been united in one program, easily accessible to facilitate stakeholders, finding the course they wish to participate, said the councilor.
Finally, Collins pointed out that of the 3,200 people who participated last year in training courses and workshops, 15% found a job.
