Iberdrola Foundation has awarded students of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) Caballero Elena Gonzalez and Andres Honrubia two scholarships to pursue Master's Degree in renewable energy to be held in Cartagena.
The first call of the scholarship program for master's and doctorate from the Iberdrola Foundation has been very successful, with over 600 applications received and 38 grants.
The purpose of these grants is to contribute to excellence in education and research within the energy sector, with particular emphasis on renewable energy, environmental protection and combating climate change.
The selection criteria was based on academic excellence of the applicants and the quality of the program to pursue, which should be focused in the following areas: renewable energy, sustainable energy system, environment and biodiversity, clean coal technologies, management emissions and carbon sequestration, energy efficiency, energy storage, electric vehicles and intelligent distribution networks.
The beneficiaries receive aid worth between 14,000 and 22,000 euros to study centers in Spain and the UK.
The kits will include the full cost of tuition and a monthly allowance for the benefit of 1,200 euros.
