The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, visited on Wednesday, the largest of the Day Centre of El Algar Municipal Institute of Social Services to accompany the various activities carried out in the center throughout the day.
The center of higher daytime stay was launched by the city of Cartagena in order to provide daytime care and comprehensive care for older people who need it, while maintaining the functional abilities of the individual, family support and creating a alternative to residential accommodation.
The facilities are of a social health center and family support offered during the day care for basic personal needs, therapeutic and socio-cultural older people affected by different degrees of dependence, promoting their independence and remain in their usual environment.
