The Director General of Immigration has detailed the role of these guardians of Saharan origin, which is to accompany and act as interpreters, both the minor and the host family in their activities, since they share languages and cultures different.
In addition, Navarro recalled that the objective of this program is to remove these children from the harsh conditions of exile in the desert where, in summer, high temperatures are reached.
Starting this year, Navarro stressed, this temporary shelter program Saharawi children in a program becomes more stable and consolidated so that as these children to take a break, two months, his daily life.
Remember that children have the opportunity to improve Spanish and discover the sea, nature and products of these two important ecosystems, so different and remote desert.
This year they have reached the Murcia Region a total of 180 children, of which one third has been in the city of Cartagena, thanks to the solidarity of families in the municipality.
In this project supports the Association of Peace holidays, the Associations of Solidarity with the Saharawi people and the Directorate General of Family and Murciano Sector and Health Service of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and towns, including Cartagena.
