The Board of Governors has decided this morning to the final location for the Center for Child Care that will serve the area of New Cartagena, Private Mediterranean and San Antonio.
The center will begin immediately to build a municipally owned site located between the streets and Picos de Europa Ronda Mediterranean urbanization, as explained by the Councillor of Greater Culture and Education, Maria Rosario Montero.
Montero has been reported that this parcel is just under 600 meters from the first, which was located next to the local office of New Cartagena.
After detecting an error in the project that required moving the building, the municipal government has made several proposals to keep the nursery with headquarters neighborhood, but residents have rejected the grounds that affected a skating rink.
Although the Consistory offered to replace the door, the neighborhood association has maintained its position and the city has moved the nursery to the nearest solar viable.
The nursery will have places for 175 children, a capacity that is almost double that of the CAI open so far and have provided 600 new childcare places over the past four years.
Work could begin this month and be completed in a year or so.
The Governing Board also approved the decision of the tender for the concession of public domain and providing a service in the CAI educational partner of La Palma, to be awarded and may be fitted so that it is running in September.
The center has capacity for 94 children.
