The Local Government Board met this morning to discuss, in addition to various procedural matters in the areas of planning and recruitment, two outstanding issues on the agenda.

On the one hand, the board discussed the proposal, which will fully, for approval of the Territorial Plan of Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena (Platec), which is the emergency plan that establishes the organizational and general lines of action emergency in the municipality.

Within the special plans are included (action in case of flood or fire), and sectoral plans (medical and rescue at Beach), which in turn collect, more specifically, material and human resources.

On the other hand, it has also given its approval to the proposed cooperation agreement between the ADLE and the Caixa MicroBank for funding and promotion of microenterprises and promoting self-employment through microcredit.

This agreement comes on the basis of the high demand for Cartagena citizens seeking information and advice to the Agency of Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena in the creation and consolidation of companies, from idea to the economic and financial viability of the project including corporate grants and funding.

So the goal is to facilitate access to finance viable projects for entrepreneurs who can not access it because they lack collateral or credit history, and also tend to be groups with special difficulties in accessing the labor market.

To overcome this barrier Microcredit Commission of the City of Cartagena formed by the Department of Youth and Employment, Women, Social Services and the ADLE, Microcredit proponents of this Convention that established two lines of funding directed to:

- Promote self-employment and encourage entrepreneurial activity by promoting equal opportunities for men and women, young, new residents, people with disabilities and with special attention to vulnerable groups in situations of financial exclusion (social micro-credit line).

These have a maximum of 15,000 euros.

- Support the establishment, consolidation or expansion of micro businesses and independent self-employment projects with the aim of contributing to the development of the productive, the creation and consolidation of employment and contribution to social progress (financial microcredit line).
