Local police in Cartagena, with the participation of its newly created NGOs involved, and technical ITV., Will launch on Wednesday 28 July a pneumatic control campaign in order to inform about the importance of taking proper maintenance the wheels of vehicles to avoid accidents.
This campaign, which is not a penalty, will be held at Alameda de San Antón, opposite El Corte Ingles, and will be attended by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Javier Herrero, from 13.00 pm.
The action that starts in Cartagena is a collaboration between the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, under the Directorate General of Industry, Energy and Mines, and the dealers of the Public Service ITV, and is supported by a study University of Murcia on the importance of the conservation status of the tires have on road safety.
According to the report, a high percentage of the accidents associated with vehicle defects is due to a poor state of the tires.
