The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, and the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, this morning visited the Cueva Victoria to see the development of the new season of excavations conducted by researchers and Carlos Luis Gibert Ferrández.
Taking advantage of this visit to the site, the mayor has announced that on July 31 and with the cooperation of the City, there will be an open day for all citizens in the Cave, with guided tours for groups of 10 people every 20 minutes throughout the day.
Remember that this new action in the field, located on the eastern slope of Cerro de San Ginés de la Jara, began earlier this month, with encouragement from the City of Cartagena and the tourist consortium Sierra Minera.
The goal is to expose the archaeological and mining houses the cave in which they are working for 25 years, which includes fossils and human and animal remains.
