The feast of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of fishermen, was held last Friday, as is traditional, with a sea procession by boat on the docks, in which the image of Our Lady out of his usual place St. James Church, and was accompanied by files and fishermen, who aboard, traveled the same journey.
In the procession also included members of the municipal corporation, as the aldermen of Social Care, Antonio Calderon and Sustainable Development, Isaiah Camarzana.
Remember that the first, Calderón, had chaired the morning another of the traditional events of this day, as was the delivery of fish by the Fishermen's Association to charities in the municipality.
In addition to the procession, organized by the Fishermen's Association, the Virgen del Carmen was also a tribute to the Navy, which also patron saint, with a Mass at Santo Domingo Church officiated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes.
