The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, along with the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon and the director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Mula, will present on Tuesday, July 20 grants worth 191,618 euros to 42 Township Senior Clubs Cartagena.
This delivery will take place at 12:30 hours at the Palace Hall, and is the result of a series of agreements to support the maintenance of older clubs, which also includes socio-cultural activities that occur annually.
The total amount of these agreements is somewhat lower than last year, rising to 195,144.
The objective of the Municipal Institute of Social Services is working in both the maintenance of local concepts such as rent, utilities, cleaning ... and in the realization of socio-cultural activities: workshops, trips, lectures and fiestas.
A part of these agreements, the Municipal Institute Elsewhere intended to carry out activities to strengthen the partnership and promote cultural promotion of this group, such as: gerontogimnasia, workshops, cultural weeks, carnival, coexistence between clubs, courses and visits cultural.
All these actions, as well as others aimed at older people, are part of an overall program to directly monitor each of the clubs by providing technical advice and support in developing its activities in the operation of the association and the management of other types of aid.
That same day there will be the return of grants from the bank Caja Murcia each of these clubs to support activities regulated through a collaboration agreement for such entity elAyuntamiento of Cartagena.
