The popular local group presented today for discussion at the plenary session of the municipal corporation two motions related to infrastructure of the city, which, moreover, are old political demands of society and Cartagena.
In the first, states that the City urge the national government to set time for the arrival of high speed rail to the city, to close the pending agreement with ADIF for the construction of the new station and AVE will join the Platform in Defence of AVE created by the Chamber of Commerce and the COEC as well as the initiative on behalf of the arrival of the High Speed Cartagena driven by the Young Entrepreneurs Association.
Responsible for the defense of this motion has been the Town Planning and popular group's spokesman, Joaquin Segado, who has emphasized the need to set a date after the arrival of the AVE, a need that has also seen Citizen Movement spokesman, Luis Carlos García Conesa, but not the socialist spokesman, Charity Rives, whose group has voted against.
Finally, the motion was approved with the votes in favor of PP and MC.
The same has happened to the other motion of the popular group which has also been approved following debate on the widening of the road to La Manga, an initiative that has been supported by the Citizens' Movement, to be something good for the city, and Here, with the abstention of the Socialists.
Mowing has made clear that the popular position, criticizing the action it has taken out by the Ministry of Development in the diversion of the exit road from Cartagena to La Manga, where they have not solved the problem that cause traffic jams, especially in this summer.
Therefore, the motion requests that the Ministry of Public Works work schedule the splitting of the CT-32 and explain the reasons why this action has not been included in the works in the link between Murcia and the highways Manga.
The remaining motions filed by opposition groups have found a No to the emergency, saying those responsible for the respective areas of activities is underway, in most cases, or are not under municipal jurisdiction.
NEW IES ANTONIO AREVALO
Asked the Socialist group in the plenary held today, the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, has announced that in 2011 will begin construction of the Secondary School Antonio Arevalo, who have 16 groups and 6 groups ESO Bachillerato.
As for the improvement works in schools in the county, also asked socialist Maroto noted that most of the actions that were announced at the end of the course are under contract and award is imminent.
