The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena, with Music and Media Company, is conducting during the first half of July, the seventh Musical Colonies showing the music of other cultures such as the Cuban or African.
Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, along with the monitor and teacher at the school of Garden City, Juan Miguel Garcia, this morning visited the Colonies Musical Garden City and Casa del Niño, in an open day to the media .
Juan Miguel Garcia explained that the work of the monitors in the Cologne Music is to teach children the different roots of music through activities that are attractive as singing, dancing, as well as exercise and care.
In this way the teacher explained, learn to identify, interpret and interact with music through a fun, practical and participatory.
The main objectives of these Colonies, stressed the Councillor, are working through the artistic sensibility of the music and create a workshop during the holidays that enables the school to develop his musical.
Therefore, the councilor reiterated, this year's seventh edition of the Colonies has covered all its seats and has the support of 80 children, divided into four groups, aged between 3 and 5, 6 and 8 and , from 9 to 10 years and 11 to 13 years.
Furthermore, she added Maroto, the purpose of these Colonies Music is not theoretical but begin to enjoy the music, laughing with her, working the artistic sensibility.
Ultimately that children can participate in a complete and comprehensive music program.
