The I Cup Faster Alumbres Trofeo Repsol will take place next Sunday, May 6 and is framed within the Faster world BMX, which is carried out at the regional level.
The event is organized by the Club Alumbres Sport, the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
In the presentation have been present the mayor of Sports, Obdulia Gómez;
the general director of sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez;
the vice president of the mountaineering federation of the Region of Murcia, Salvador Inglés, and the secretary of the Club Alumbres Sport, Francisco Madrid.
The day of May 6, will be the fourth of nine races to be held at the regional level.
The first exit of the I Cup Faster Alumbres Trofeo Repsol will take place at 9:30 am of the Pavilion of Alumbres, being at 10:30 am when the exit of the Absolute Category occurs.
The total route of the race will be 40 km, with a difference of 800 meters.
In addition, the registration to participate in Children's Category, boys and girls from 6 to 9 years, is free, since this activity is integrated into the School Sports Program.
It is expected that more than 200 participants will attend the competition, who will be able to enjoy the town of Alumbres, a great enclave to practice this type of mountain sports.
As pointed out by the Councilor for Sports, Obdulia Gómez, with the organization of this test not only supports and promotes this sport discipline but "also puts the value of the town of Alumbres."
This sport has been included this year for the first time in the School Sports Program.
The General Director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez, has stressed the importance of the first test of this discipline held since its inclusion in the School Sports Program takes place in Alumbres.
For his part, the secretary of the Club Alumbres Sport, Francisco Madrid, did not want to miss this opportunity without thanking the work of all the volunteers who will be participating next Sunday in the event, "without their support and presence it would not be possible to carry out tests of this caliber ".
In the same way, Madrid has taken the opportunity to send a message of encouragement to Luis, a neighbor of Alumbres who is hospitalized after suffering an accident while cycling, his favorite sport.
The I Cup Faster Alumbres Trofeo Repsol is an activity that is also included in the Network of Popular Careers that is being promoted by the Department of Sports.
