The Finance and Interior Commission, meeting this morning, under the chairmanship of the councilor of the Treasury and Contracting area, Carmen Martín, to decide the project of municipal budgets for 2018, has agreed to postpone its study so that the Government incorporates into the file all the reports that support its processing without the approval of the budgets of the various autonomous bodies of the City Council.
According to the Councilor of Public Function, Francisco Aznar, the file included all the necessary documentation and the favorable report of the municipal intervention, the only one that the law establishes as mandatory.
The Government has committed to provide the other five that have been issued by other municipal services and that corroborate the possibility of approving the municipal budgets without first having done the same with those of the autonomous agencies, given the superior nature of the plenary of the Corporation. about these organisms.
Specifically, it deals with the reports of the Municipal Legal Department, the General Secretariat of the Plenary, the Treasury, the Economic Budget Office and the Tax Management Body.
The commission will be reconvened once these reports are included in the file, which are not mandatory or binding.
This incident reverses the forecast of the full budget, which had initially been set for May 3, and which will vary in date.
