MC Cartagena leads the mandate of the Plenary to demand the Government of Spain to finance the Benipa's baipas (26/04/2018)

The impulse of MC Cartagena, through a motion argued by its spokesman, José López, has allowed the Plenary Assembly to urge the Government of Spain to finance, under the general budgets of the state of 2018, the Benipa baipas.

In this way, the central government must vary its initial plans that, once again, marginalize Cartagena, as opposed to the investments announced for the cities of Murcia or Lorca.

The text specifies that, if this budgetary forecast is not made, the Port Authority shall be responsible for the financing, with charge to its 2018 and successive budgets, as it is characteristic of its activity, as it is paying for the Camarillas variant.

In the same way, the MC proposal urges both to fund, already in this 2018, the development of the ZAL of Los Camachos, with the immediate transfer of the Deposit Franco and other actions that allow it to be a reality;

as well as the burial of the freight roads as it passes through the deputation of Alumbres;

and that, in the same way, initiate environmental studies and projects that are necessary to promote the variant of Murcia, which added to the Camarillas must subtract one hour to rail traffic to Madrid and prevent the passage of goods through Murcia, Sewer and other localities of its metropolitan area.

After the approval of the motion, MC has expressed his confidence so that the traditional parties, from the regional scope, do not return to ally to maintain the systematic oblivion to Cartagena and the Shire.

Question that would not surprise by facts consummated as the regional support granted to the unnecessary circumvallation of Sewer, fictitious necessity created by the negligent performance of the regional politicians who accumulate harbor infrastructures to 50 kilometers of the coast by their interests, and not by those of the port activity.

In short, the Plenary has agreed on the need to promote an infrastructure designed six years ago to unite directly the ports of Cartagena and Alicante, preventing freight trains travel an additional 34 kilometers through Murcia, without having to stop there .

MC Cartagena welcomes the support for the initiative, something that did not happen in the summer of 2015, when the Cartagena training proposed, through the Plenary, that the Ministry take charge of this branch.

Argumentario valid for Cartagena but that remains in the drawer when the debate is carried out by the same parties in the city of Murcia.
