The auditorium of Cartagena continues betting on its program "Los Veranos de El Batel", a series of shows for the summer months that this year marks its sixth edition and for which artists such as Lolita Flores, Julieta Venegas, James Rhodes have already passed. , the National Dance Company, Antonio Orozco or Verónica Forqué ... Great of the national and international scene that each year gathers around six thousand people, and that this edition will be starred by Concha Velasco, Lola Herrera, Pastora Soler, Los Morancos and the Víctor Ullate Ballet in El Amor Brujo.

The presentation of this program has been carried out today, April 25, in the auditorium by the mayor of Culture, David Martínez Noguera;
accompanied by the manager of El Batel, Luis Gutiérrez, who has stressed that this program is aimed at the citizens of Cartagena and the region, as well as visitors to the municipality, since Los Veranos de El Batel is a cultural complement to beach leisure .
The first of the scheduled shows will be Antonyms, the new Los Morancos on Saturday, July 28.
The latest musical hits on YouTube from the Sevillian duo will be the soundtrack of this new theatrical proposal by César and Jorge Cadaval, in which his usual characters will also appear, such as Omaita and Antonia, José Antonio "El del taco" ... Antonyms is a challenge for the couple from Triana, who will try to revalidate the success of their previous shows with that magic and spontaneity that only they know how to create in the theater.
On Saturday, August 4, the Ballet of Víctor Ullate with El Amor Brujo will be uploaded to the stage of the Cartagena auditorium.
The Ballet of Víctor Ullate is one of the most important ballets in Spain and comes with one of his greatest hits.
One hundred years ago Manuel de Falla composed the score of this ballet and there are many versions that have been taken to the stage, but few as Ullate premiered in the nineties, his first version of the work where he brought together great artists your surroundings.
That premiere became a great event in the history of Spanish contemporary dance.
The costumes and sets were created by Frederic Amat, the script was signed by Vicente Molina Foix, and on stage with Carmen Linares, and a team of excellent dancers: María Giménez, Tamara Rojo, Igor Yebra, Jesús Pastor, Eduardo Lao , Ruth Miró and Víctor Jiménez, among others, who were then part of Ullate's company and who have subsequently triumphed internationally.
Now, when the centenary of the work is completed, Ullate has had the need to create a new, more updated, more modern version.
In which he has counted on this occasion with the scenery of Paco Azorín and the wardrobe of María Araujo.
To the music of Falla has added arrangements of Luis Delgado and some compositions of the group of dark ambience In Slaughter Natives.
And with this new version comes to Cartagena.
The actress Lola Herrera has recovered the character of Carmen Sotillo, the widow of "Cinco horas con Mario", by Miguel Delibes, under the direction of Josefina Molina, on a tour almost 40 years after the first time she took the stage with this work, and with which he returns to Los Veranos de El Batel on Friday, August 10.
She got into the shoes of Carmen Sotillo for the first time in 1979, also accompanied under the direction of Josefina Molina, the only woman director who has obtained a Goya of Honor.
The work is also produced by Rafael Palmero, as he did 40 years ago.
