Paloma Sánchez-Garnica Gómez, with her book 'My memory is stronger than your forgetfulness', will be the protagonist of the X Meeting of Tertulias of the Network of Municipal Libraries of Cartagena.
The meeting will be hosted by the 'Isaac Peral' Assembly Hall, of the Faculty of Business Sciences (former CIM), on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.
This year the chosen author has been Paloma Sánchez-Garnica Gómez and the book that will be read is entitled 'My memory is stronger than your forgetfulness'.
This book also received the Fernando Lara Novel Prize 2016.
The Network of Libraries of Cartagena, dependent on the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, has 22 reading clubs (16 for adults, 2 juveniles and 4 children) distributed by the libraries of the municipality.
Each club has an average of 23 people, meeting once or twice a month.
In this tenth edition, the meeting gathers all the gatherings of adults to meet and discuss with the author the book read.
The councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Education and Youth, David Martinez, will be responsible for opening the event, welcoming the writer and thanking the readers for their interest and their permanence in these clubs, which like the Library Rafael Rubio de Los Dolores have been meeting for 23 years.
At the end of the meeting, the author will sign the books of all those who wish to do so.
THE WRITER
Paloma Sánchez-Garnica Gómez (Madrid, 1962), has a degree in Law and History.
Author of 'El gran arcano' (2006) and 'La brisa de oriente' (2009).
His novel 'The soul of the stones' (2010) had a great success among readers and five editions were published.
'The three wounds' (2012) was his consecration between the critic and readers as a writer of great literary personality, and especially 'The sonata of silence' (2014) consecrated her as a great writer, receiving then the Novel Prize Fernando Lara 2016 for his latest novel 'My memory is stronger than your forgetfulness'.

It tells how a brilliant career as a judge, respect for those around her, an independent life where Carlota had everything to be happy, however, always missed a Christmas.
When at twelve her mother revealed the great secret, Carlota knew that nothing would be the same again.

The word 'family' did not mean the same thing again.
The call of her dying father many decades later will force her to struggle between the desire to know and the need to flee.
The meeting is open to all the public interested in attending, with a capacity of more than 150 people.
