Six line hockey teams, from Murcia and Andalusia, will fight to win the championship that will take place on April 28 and 29 at the Cabezo Beaza Pavilion.
It is the fifth consecutive year that the South Cup is celebrated in Cartagena due to its unbeatable facilities and the collaboration it receives from the City of Cartagena to carry out an event of this magnitude.
This year the international interest in the event increases, with a production team from the YouTube channel 'Hockey Tutorial', to make a report about the league.
This channel has almost 100,000 subscribers and a much greater reach.
The existence of hockey in the south of Spain and the complex organization of the voluntary and non-profit project has aroused great interest in making news in order to teach its audience the viability of hockey anywhere in the world.
Once the regular phase is over, the six teams play a two-day competition in double elimination format according to their position in the final classification of the regular phase.
Sharks of Cartagena, Hockey Club Águilas, Roller Murcia, Sevilla Dragons, CH Sancti Petri of Chiclana and the champion of the regular phase Fuengirola Lions, will face each other in a very competitive and demanding physical format, after which only one will remain.
The competition has an event of special interest for enthusiasts of this sport.
At 7:00 pm on Saturday, an 'All Stars' match will be played, between two teams formed by the selection of the best league players this season.
Due to the great technical level, this match promises to be a spectacle and for fans of Cartagena, it will have a special attraction due to the participation of four of its players.
To start the event, these same players will compete for the team in a penalty shootout, which will set the stage for spectacular dribbling and equally amazing stops by the goalkeepers.
The Cartagena Tiburones team enters the competition as fourth place in the league and will face the fifth classified, Sancti Petri (Chiclana), on Saturday, April 28 at 9:30 am.
The final is played on Sunday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m.
