The rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Alejandro Díaz, and the territorial director of Ibermutuamur in Murcia, Eduardo Ruiz, have signed an agreement of educational cooperation so that the students of the UPCT carry out academic practices in the mutual.
Internships at Ibermutuamur, of special interest for students of the Faculty of Business Sciences, will be managed through the Center for Guidance, Information and Employment (COIE) and will be published on the ICARO web portal.
Ibermutuamur is a collaborating entity with the Social Security of national scope, whose activity consists of the coverage of the professional contingencies (accident of work and professional illness), that includes the sanitary assistance, the rehabilitation, the payment of the economic benefits derived from the accident of work and professional illness and the improvement of work and health conditions in companies;
the management of temporary disability (sick leave) due to common contingency (common illness and non-work accident);
and protection for cessation of activity of self-employed workers.
At present, Ibermutuamur has 100 own centers distributed throughout the Spanish geography, 10 of them are located in the Region of Murcia, where it covers more than 222,500 workers, including employees of the Polytechnic of Cartagena and more of 24,700 companies.
