On the occasion of the Day of the Book, the students of the Degrees in Education of the Catholic University have explained to the students the exhibition 'Land of Writers', which is shown on the Los Dolores campus until the end of the month.
Students of the Sacred Heart of Jesus school in the neighborhood of Los Dolores in Cartagena have learned this morning the life and work of writers from the Region at the hands of university students studying the Degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education at the Campus of the UCAM in Cartagena.
To do this, the students have participated first in some workshops of children's literature, riddles, tongue twisters, dice with history, painting and storytelling to visit the exhibition 'Land of Writers' that is shown until the end of the month in the library of the facilities of the Catholic University in the port city.
Thanks to this exhibition, temporarily donated by the Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver Municipal Board, the students of the Alma Mater Foundation educational center have approached not only the texts created by the first academic woman of the language but also by other authors such as Francisco Sánchez Bautista, Alfonso X El Sabio, Ricardo Gil y García, ... up to a total of 15.
In addition, the students of the Degrees in Education have been able to know more about the history of the books from their origins with the conference "from the Codex to the e-book" in an activity promoted by the professors of Ana Andúgar, Laura Palomo, Víctor Sanchís and Antonio Candeloro, teaching staff and researcher of the Department of Education.
These events are framed in the April Book program promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena in which UCAM collaborates.
