In the morning on Thursday, the Final Phase of the V Municipal Intercolletal Athletics League was held at the Municipal Track of Athletics.
The 60 ml, 500 ml, discus throw, long jump, high jump and 4X60 relay events are the ones that the young athletes of the 12 participating schools have played in the final today.
In the men's category, the Franciscanos and Stella Maris rankings have led, with Carmelitas occupying third place in the drawer.
The women's final has had the first athletes of the Virgen del Carmen, followed by the students of the Carmelites and the third position has been for the young people of San Vicente de Paul.
The day began with an inaugural parade of the participating teams, in which a representative of each center carried the Olympic flag.
This act has given way to the development of the sporting event.
To finish the competition, the awards ceremony was held, in which all the centers received a gift for their participation.
In the same way, the first three classified in each category have received their corresponding metal.
Throughout the morning the sporting atmosphere has reigned on the municipal track, where a large number of relatives of the young athletes have gathered, as well as a representation of teachers from each participating center.
The competition has been coordinated and assisted by CAElcano monitors and student collaboration in TAFAD practices.
During the development of the same have met all the objectives for which it was scheduled, since the youngest have been able to approach the sport of athletics, know their values ​​from the base and promote this discipline among young athletes.
The V Municipal League Athletics Intercentros, in which more than 400 athletes have participated, is organized by the Department of Sports within the ADE Program and the Athletics Club Elcano, with the collaboration of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia and the club UCAM Cartagena.
This activity is part of the School Sports Program developed by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
PARTICIPATING CENTERS IN THE FINAL
In the masculine category the schools have attended: Carmelitas, Cuatro Santos, Franciscans, La Vaguada, Stella Maris, San Fulgencio, San Vicente Paul, Virgen del Carmen.
For its part, in the female category, the centers that have taken the top positions of the podium were: Salesians, Saint Vincent Paul, Virgen del Carmen, Carmelitas, Luis Calandre, Maristas, La Vaguada, Mare Nostrum.
