Cartagena Port of Cultures launched, last week, the exhibition "Gladiators, gods of the sand", in the Punic Wall, which started with a splendid program of activities, where more than a thousand people have passed to get to know the world of Gladiatorial games, and will continue on weekends with dramatized tours and visits for April and May.
This Saturday, April 21, will take place the theatrical route "Hermes y Máximo, estrellas del espectáculo" that starts at the Roman Theater of Cartagena.
In this route the assistants will be introduced in the world of the Roman spectacles being able to participate in first person in a fascinating history of two gladiators that will face, one by the desire of glory and the other, moved by the spirit of the fight by the freedom .
In the Roman Theater, after knowing the buildings of shows, you can contemplate an interpretive duel so intense that the public will decide the future of these two gladiators.
Hermes and Máximo, will seek the protection of the gods in the Temple of Augustus, where the assistants will participate in the ritual that will begin the pomp that will take them to the Punic Wall.
There, you will know the life and death of these heroes of the arena, to enjoy the gladiatorial battles that so much emotion transmitted in the Roman world.
A theatrical route for all audiences, where historical recreation and interpretation will make us protagonists of a history of the heroes of Rome.
This dramatized route will tour the Roman Theater, the Augusteum and the Punic Wall on April 21, May 5 and 26 and on Saturdays in August at 11:30.
The output will be at the Museum of the Roman Theater and the price will be 15 euros, with reduced entry of 13 euros and 8 euros for the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
On Sunday, April 22, "The Mad Academy of Gladiators", in the Punic Wall.
The youngest have their own school with an hour and a half of fun to tell a story that fascinates young and old alike.
Children will participate in a crazy training, a world upside down, a different story, where they will know what they ate, how they dressed, the magical amulets that the gladiators carried, until they fight with wooden swords, symbol of freedom.
The place where this activity will take place will be the Punic Wall on Sundays in April, on Sundays May 6 and 13 and September at 12 noon with a price of 8 euros, although members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas will pay 4 euros
From Tuesday to Sunday there will be guided tours of the exhibition with original pieces related to the gladiatorial world and historical reconstruction pieces such as helmets, shields, swords and a wonderful medical bag, they will show us the gladiators in Carthago Nova.
This activity will take place at the Punic Wall from Tuesday to Sunday at 11 a.m., at 13 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. with a price of 3.50 Euros, although members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas may attend for free.
