The Local Government Board, meeting on an extraordinary basis, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has agreed not to admit the appeal for reconsideration presented by the councilors of MC Cartagena, José López and Isabel García, against the agreement of 19 of February 2018 of the Local Government Board that corrected and validated the agreement of December 29, 2017, approval of the lowering of drinking water rates, rates for the authorization of connections and sewage services and wastewater treatment and rate of conservation of connections and meters for the year 2018, and acceptance of the documentation submitted by Hidrogea, which confirmed the aforementioned agreement.
The inadmissibility of the appeal has been based on a report from the General Directorate of the Municipal Legal Department that deepens into the nature of the formality of the agreement appealed, while also denying the request for suspension of the agreement, as it does not justify the damages that could be caused. derive from its application.
With this, the Governing Board ends the administrative process of this resource.
As will be recalled last Friday, the Price Advisory Council gave precisely its report favorable to the lowering of water rates, which will be applied imminently in the coming days, once published in the Official Gazette of the Region.
