The Campus of Los Dolores will collect until April 19 already read by those who want to receive on April 23 titles contributed by other citizens.
In addition, the Catholic University will make a sample about writers of the Region, a conference on the history of the book and a storytelling workshop.
In order to encourage reading, the solidarity of sharing knowledge and the reuse of books as culture channelers, the headquarters of the San Antonio Catholic University in Cartagena has organized its first book exchange, open to the participation not only of the community university, but society in general.
For each book in good condition that someone delivers in the library of the Campus of Los Dolores before Thursday, April 19, you can receive the day 23 at 11: 00hours one of those who have delivered other participants.
Everyone who delivers a book at zero cost, will take another publication also for free.
In this way, it is intended that citizens can change the books they have already read by others of other people.
To facilitate the selection of the books that are received, the UCAM will announce on the 20th the books that it has received.
Exhibition and day with students of the Degree in Education
In parallel to this activity, the Catholic University in collaboration with the Municipal Board Carmen Conde-Antonio Oliver has organized in the library of its Campus of Cartagena an exhibition on writers of the Region, which will be visited on the Day of the Book by students of the Sacred College Corazón de Los Dolores, dependent on the Alma Mater Foundation.
During this visit the university students of the Degree in Primary Education will explain to these students, after having participated in the conference, open to the general public, "Journey through the history of the book: from the codex to the e-book", which will run to charge of Ana Andúgar, Laura Palomo, Víctor Sanchís, teaching staff and researcher of the Department of Education.
These same professionals will also make the Storytelling Workshop for the students of the aforementioned school "Do you tell me or tell me?"
Those interested in participating in the talk and the guided tour must register through the website cartagena.ucam.edu with the possibility of receiving a certificate of participation.
These events are framed in the April Book program promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena in which UCAM collaborates.
