The added value provided by doctors in companies today has focused on the 1st Doctoral Seminars of the UPCT, organized by the International Doctoral School of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, in which they have participated and shown the advances of their doctoral research of the UPCT and the University of Murcia.
"A doctor has greater capacity for innovation and study and can achieve very profitable patents for the company," said the Vice Chancellor for Research, Beatriz Miguel.
"Doctors give us a vision of the future," said Fulgencio Díaz, manager in Cartagena de Hidrogea, a company that has five doctors and two Ph.D. graduates in the Region of Murcia.
"Doctors have to be asked for tangible and productive projects," he added.
"I have not had as good a time as doing the doctorate", acknowledged the Director General of Universities, Juan Monzó, who has influenced the high employability of doctors, with a "technical stoppage of 5%", and has remembered that the Community is promoting the industrial doctorate "so that innovation is increasingly disruptive."
During the I Doctoral Days, a prize will be awarded for the best poster and a prize for the best oral communication where the innovative and transferable aspects will be valued with interest for companies.
And select the best oral communications that will be presented to companies at the Conference on Innovation and Business to be held this Thursday at the UPCT.
