The Classroom of the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation will screen the next April 17 at 8 pm the domestic film filmed in 8 mm 'Cartagena and its Holy Week 1976-77' that shows the city of the municipality and the main events of the Passion Week of those years.
This film, property of Domingo Lopez Castiñe, has been recovered as part of the project 'Cellular Memories' with the sponsorship of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.
The film begins with a walk, about ten minutes of images, through the city of Cartagena in the early years of Democracy in which you can see some buildings that have disappeared.
The rest of the footage, about 80 minutes, is dedicated to Holy Week, and it shows images of Friday of Sorrows, Procession of the Christ of Help, Palm Sunday, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday Santo and Domingo de Resurrección.
This film, unpublished in its entirety, has been seen in nine deliveries on the internet during the last Holy Week in 2018 in collaboration with the newspaper La Verdad.
These almost 40 minutes of edited and musicized images can be seen on the newspaper's website.
