The Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena today announced some of the amendments that will be presented as "essential" in the upcoming negotiations with the political groups Partido Popular and Movimiento Ciudadano.
The spokesman of the orange training, Manuel Padín, has reported that after the refusal of the mayor of Cartagena to comply, in all its terms, with the plenary agreement to set up a negotiating table within the Finance and Interior Commission to negotiate, among all, the municipal accounts of 2018, "we have no choice but to work to find other majorities that make it possible to include our Group's contributions to the budgets".
The Citizens Group has reported that, from the battery of amendments it has prepared, it has selected, based on its need and public demand, four proposals that they consider "fundamental" that add up to 740,000 euros and a proposal to commit the surplus investment.
Surplus execution commitments
Ciudadanos ensures to be aware that the Plan of Districts and Neighborhoods (just 450,000 euros for 2018) announced by the regional government and obediently assumed by the Government of Cartagena of the PSOE is "a joke in bad taste" that will not stop the feeling of abandonment and the immense needs that have the most needy districts and councils of Cartagena.

Project for the pedestrianization and construction of a parking deterrent in front of the Santa Lucía Hospital
Ciudadanos recalled that improving pedestrian access to the Santa Lucía Hospital was one of its amendments to the 2017 budgets (worth 300,000) that the Government was not able to execute, even though the technical project was already written and prepared for your tender at the recruitment table.

The objective is the construction of a parking deterrent in front of the Santa Lucía Hospital with a capacity still to be determined but that will exceed 100 seats, with the possibility of creating a service area for motor homes for approximately 70 spaces.
Once tendered, the execution period according to the technical project to which Ciudadanos has had access will be four weeks, after which the works that could reach 250,000 euros will have to be put out to tender.
Citizens has reported that this proposal includes requesting the Demarcation of State Roads to regulate and incorporate steps of traffic light pedestrians in the section of the CT-33 to facilitate the transit of people.

At present, this section of the highway serves as a connection between the Port of Cartagena and the A-30, but it is also a barrier between the neighborhoods of Santa Lucía, Los Mateos and Lo Campano.

"If the City Council needs to tender a contract for the management of these services, it will have to do so, and for this we believe that 30,000 euros is a figure that approaches the necessary tender, as they have done in other Spanish cities."

Second phase of the orange amendments of 2017
Torres Park

Return of Talent
It is the first talent return project in the municipality of Cartagena and its objective is to strengthen the bond between the young Cartagena emigrants with their land and generate opportunities, favoring contact between emigrated professionals who want to return and local businesses that demand talent and international experience.
The Local Government Board included on February 2 the proposal that Cs moved through an amendment to the 2017 accounts (30,000 euros) to launch the 'Return of Talent to Cartagena' program.
With this program it is expected to get in a first phase the contact between the City Council and a community of 60 young emigrants from Cartagena who want to return.
They will be offered advice via Skype through a team of mediators.
Once the community is created, contact will be made with companies in Cartagena as well as the publication of job offers suitable for the training of migrant professionals.
