The Councilor for Municipal Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, held yesterday, Wednesday, April 11, a meeting with the presidents and vice-presidents of the municipal Neighborhood Boards, as well as technicians of Infrastructure, Contracting and Decentralization, in which he explained the implications of the new Law 9/2017 of contracts of the public sector.
The changes that must be applied with the entry into force of this law have special incidence in chapter 2 of repair, maintenance and conservation of public buildings and municipal infrastructures in each of the Neighborhood Boards.
"As of this moment, the Law obliges to make contracts in batches, grouping the items, so that the minor contract has a residual character and disappears progressively.
The objective is that the City Council's response be more agile when it comes to correcting any incident or meeting any need within the Neighborhood Councils ", explained the mayor Juan Pedro Torralba.
