The Department of Sports, directed by Obdulia Gómez, has invested nearly 12,000 euros in improving the enclosures and perimeter fencing of several sports facilities in the municipality.
Specifically, these actions have taken place in four football fields in Villalba, Molinos Marfagones, Ciudad Jardín and Alumbres and in the rugby field of La Asomada.
"We are putting our sports facilities in shape so that children and young people can train with all the guarantees of safety and in the best possible conditions.
It is a demand from users, since for a long time these municipal facilities have not had a maintenance and conservation program that they require, "said Obdulia Gómez.
In Villalba, the wall and the side fencing of the 7-a-side football pitch have been repaired for 1,210 euros;
similarly, Molinos Marfagones have also focused on fixing the side fencing, at a cost of 1,299 euros;
in Ciudad Jardín the operators have had to modify the complete fence of the field for what they have spent 3,648 euros;
As for Alumbres, improvements have been made in the field of play, to stabilize and balance the rubber, in the enclosure of the field and, in the coming days, 100 new seats will be installed, which has had a total cost of 4,245 euros.
The rugby field of La Asomada required the repair of the side and front fences for which an investment of 1,089 euros has been made.
